A finely painted late 17th century/early 18th century oil on canvas of the English lawyer & politician, George Naylor.
As stated on the brass plaque below he was Uncle to Bishop Hare and Grandfather of Grace Naylor.
The plaque also says 'From Hurstmonceaux Castle', George Naylor purchased this property in Sussex in 1708 and in the 15th century this castle was the largest private home in England.
